Consultation - the journey begins with a consultation with our Invisalign-trained dentist. During this initial visit, we will assess your dental condition, discuss your goals and determine if Invisalign is suitable for you.
Digital Scanning - if Invisalign is recommended, digital impressions or scans of your teeth will be taken. This technology eliminates the need for traditional messy impressions, making the process more comfortable for you.
Your Customised Treatment Plan - we use advanced 3D imaging software to create a personalised treatment plan. You'll be able to preview the expected outcome of your treatment, allowing you to visualise your future smile and also understand the time needed for the treatment.
Aligner manufacture - based on your treatment plan, a series of clear, custom-made aligners will be fabricated. These aligners are virtually invisible and comfortable to wear, unlike the traditional, highly-visible “train-track” braces of old.
Wear and Replace - you will wear each set of aligners for about 1-2 weeks, as directed by our dentist. They should be worn for 20-22 hours a day, only removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
Regular Check-Ups - you'll have periodic check-ups with us to monitor your progress and receive new sets of aligners. These check-ups are typically less frequent than with traditional braces.
Completion - once you've completed your series of aligners, your orthodontist will provide you with a retainer to maintain your new smile. Regular retainer use will prevent teeth from shifting back into their original positions.
Yes, Invisalign is highly effective for a wide range of orthodontic issues, including crowded teeth, gaps, overbites, and underbites. However, its success depends on wearing the aligners as instructed.
Most patients experience some initial discomfort or pressure when starting a new set of aligners. This discomfort is temporary and typically less than the soreness associated with traditional braces.
You should remove your aligners when eating or drinking anything besides water. This allows you to enjoy your favourite foods without restrictions.
Treatment duration varies depending on the complexity of your case. On average, it takes about 12-18 months, but some cases may be shorter or longer.
Invisalign aligners are made from clear plastic, making them nearly invisible when worn. They are much less noticeable than traditional metal braces and unless you tell them, your friends likely won’t even know!
Invisalign has allowed patients just like you to achieve straighter, more confident smiles without the inconvenience of traditional braces. With its comfortable, discreet, and convenient approach, Invisalign has become a leading choice for orthodontic treatment, offering straight new smiles for people of most age groups.
